Rebecca M. Podsednik
Rebecca M. Podsednik is Assistant Director of Programming for Lincoln Center Education (LCE) at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York.  Her work focuses primarily on the curation of performances for students and families under the umbrella of LCE and LC Kids.  Rebecca also serves on the producing team for the Big Umbrella Festival at Lincoln Center, the world’s first month-long festival dedicated to arts programs for young people on the autism spectrum and their families.  Most recently, Rebecca worked with Kennedy Center Theater for Young Audiences (KCTYA) for almost ten years.  With KCTYA, she worked on all the program's new commissions and productions, as well as the booking and presenting of national and international artists and companies. In addition to researching and making recommendations for KCTYA presentations, she served as the department's in-house researcher and dramaturg in developing new work. Rebecca also worked with the Center's New Visions/New Voices biennial festival, which promotes development of new TYA plays by other national and international theaters. She proudly serves on the Board of Directors for International Performing Arts for Youth (IPAY) as well as Chair of the IPAY Selection Committee.  The IPAY Selection Committee is comprised of experts in the field of performing arts for youth charged with creating equitable balance for the showcasing and presenting of professional performances for young audiences reflecting the needs of presenters, agents, artists and educators at the annual IPAY Showcase every January.  Rebecca served as photo editor for TYA TODAY magazine, the biannual publication of TYA/USA, for more than six years. She has presented at several regional and national conferences about theatre education and the creation of new work, including AATE, South Eastern Theatre Conference, Florida Theatre Conference, and Midwest Arts Conference. Rebecca received her BFA with an emphasis in theatre education from The University of Texas at Austin and her MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences from the University of Central Florida (in partnership with the Orlando Repertory Theatre).
