Targeting young audiences in grades 3-6, ELLINGTON! is an engaging, informative live educational program tailored to promote and illuminate the enduring legacy, music and achievements of the iconic American composer, pianist and bandleader, Duke Ellington.   Widely regarded as one of the most creative, prolific and groundbreaking artists in the history of American music, Ellington wrote everything from some of the most classic songs of the 20th century to highly sophisticated extended works, sacred music, suites and soundtracks for stage and screen and in so doing, produced a rich, expansive catalog of music that’s truly beyond category.
